Aboriginal Australians Love To Read God's Word In Their Heart Languages

Translating the Bible into a person’s heart language is vitally important. Bible translation in Australia is undertaken by indigenous Christians committed to seeing the Bible in their own language with linguists and translators from a number of churches and mission organisations.

Bible Society Australia assists missions and churches of all denominations across the country with their Bible needs by publishing their translations and making them available in various formats.

Scripture distribution for children and youth.

The hope of the children and youth in Syria is now negligible; there are no future expectations, and their country is now being injured and torn. The refuge that no one knows about for the future "generation" is known. We do not have any other choice other than the Scriptures in order to rescue and salvage these broken lives. The Scriptures, which are full of peace and healings messages, is their restoration of happiness and joy.

Children, the new generation and the hope for the future, need to be nurtured upon the Word of God. This project entails the distribution of children Scriptures and coloring books to thousands of Syrian children and teenagers during these difficult times.

Bibles for China's millions.

The Christian population (both Protestant & Catholic) in mainland China continues to grow. The official estimate is 40 million Christians and the unofficial estimate is 100 million. The demand for the Bibles increases each year. Since the establishment of Amity Printing Company in 1987, 67 million Bibles have been printed and distributed in China. However, if this number is compared with the unofficial total number of Christians in China, there are still many who do not have a copy of the Bible.

The majority of the Christians in mainland China live in rural areas and most of them are still not able to afford to purchase a Bible, therefore, there is still an overwhelming need to support the cost of Bible paper so that the price of Bibles can be kept affordable. Free distribution of Bible in the rural areas is also vital for those who can’t even afford to purchase a copy of Bible.

Millions of Christians in China will be encouraged by receiving their own copy of the Bible. They will have the opportunity to grow in faith and to become matured by God's Word. Their faith will be strengthened to resist false teaching and heresy, which is currently a big problem in the church in China.

Building healthy relationships within the family with God's Word.

Violence within the family has been treated through different programs of the Cuban Council of Churches (CIC). The Cuban Bible Commission, part of CIC, sees the urgency to do even more so that the growing rate of violence can be stopped in our country. Due to extremely difficult living conditions in Cuba, women, men and children are all affected by violence. Therefore, the need is urgent to educate parents and children in a culture of no violence.

The objective is to bring awareness to this problem and to prevent violence within the families by training pastors, Sunday school teachers, and youth leaders who in their turn will teach the affected target group. We want to bring hope and motivate a change in life through the principles of God´s Word to men, women and children who might become potential victims of domestic violence found within churches and outside churches. We want to provide to parents and children a space where they can relate among themselves.

Literacy is a fundamental human right, and the foundation of all learning, but young disadvantaged children do not always have the same opportunities to develop literacy skills as others. This project's objective is to supply material to promote basic literacy (as well as Biblical literacy) in preschool to Year 2 children in disadvantaged areas. As it is important for children to learn to read in their heart languages, 165,000 booklets in English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa will be supplied in 2016.

Your donations will also fund the production of booklets in Sesotho and Sepedi, with the goal of supplying 360,000 booklets free of charge in seven of South Africa's eleven languages.
